So Zab Judah, being one of my all-time favorite boxers, and my favorite active boxer, is one of the Twitter pages I frequent most. But I most say, it is very frustrating to visit his page every day and see posts about gambling and Vegas and the like. Not saying Judah isn't taking his training seriously, but we know he has overlooked opponents in the past (cough cough Baldomir anyone).
On July 18, Judah fight Matthew Hatton, younger brother of Ricky, in the co-feature to Mayweather-Marquez. Judah's problem has never been his talent. Rare is the boxer that possesses Judah's combination of hand-speed, power-punching and overall quickness. His left uppercut, overhand right combo is one of the deadliest in the game. But we all know Judah's Achille's Heel has always been his focus.
So with that being said, it would be nice one of these days to open up Judah's Twitter page and read something along the lines of "running through sparring partners" or "just completed eight miles of roadwork" instead of asking if the movie "Taken" starring Liam Neeson is any good. Which by the way, it isn't. So Zab, a plea from one of your biggest supporters, hit the grindstone in training, take care of business on July 18, and move on to bigger and better things.
