When I was four-years-old, my dad played the NES quite a bit. His favorite game was Mike Tyson's PunchOut, one of the greatest games of all-time for sure. I remember the day he finally beat Tyson, quite the feat. I soon started playing the game frequently, but never beat Tyson.
Years later, they released Super PunchOut, but it wasn't quite the same, featuring only one or two of the classic characters an no Little Mac.
Now, PunchOut is coming out tomorrow, May 18th. It looks great, and if it is anything like the original, it is sure to be one of the best games out there.
Below is the new PunchOut commmercial, starring 140-pound contender Paulie "Magic Man" Malignaggi.
Check it out.

Andre Ward vs. Edison Miranda Prediction
On Saturday, Andre "SOG" Ward fights Edison "Pantera" Miranda on a special edition of ShoBox "The Next Generation". Ward is the betting favorite and has been picked virtually every media person. Below is my prediction that will appear on SecondsOut.com later today:
I'm going with Edisona "Pantera" Miranda in an upset. Andre Ward has fought absolutely no one of note since turning pro and winning the gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games. Ward is an athletically gifted fighter, but I feel that too many people are just writing Miranda off. Miranda is a free-swinging brawler, who if he connects, will knock Ward out. Ward is going to look to establish his jab and box Miranda from the outside, but Miranda will press all-night. Miranda has lost three times, twice to No. 1 middleweight Arthur Abraham and once to current middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik. And many thought Miranda won the first Abraham fight. Ward seems to be just another overhyped Olympian and I'm going with Miranda to expose him in front of his hometown fans. Miranda KO Late Rounds

Welcome to the Site
Hi all,
My name is Mike Coppinger and I'd like to welcome everyone to the site. I have been covering professional boxing for a year now and decided it was time to start my own blog. I have written many feature articles and interview several big-name fighters, including Roy Jones Jr. before his November loss to Joe Calzaghe, and Bernard Hopkins before his 12-round thumping of Kelly Pavlik.
I have been watching boxing religiously since 2001 and have never missed a fight in that timeframe. In this blog I will break-down upcoming fights, recap the action every weekend, and maintain boxer ratings for each weight class and an updated schedule. I will pull no punches and the blog will be %100 unfiltered commentary. Hope you enjoy.
